Writing about my experience, connection and relationship with Mrs. Hannah Oyebanjo (or HO) gives me great pleasure.

She is such a delight! HO is a personality with many colours and shades. I admire her energy, dynamics, passion, and commitment to the many shades she represents. HO manages her secular connection and her spiritual arena with equal proportion with a robust understanding of her role as a woman of purpose! She is a woman I proudly call my boss.

I recall our days together at Corporate and Financial, which later became C&F Porter Novelli, a PR firm that was regarded as a school which many alumni are proud to associate. Hannah Oyebanjo, as the General Manager was an amazing boss! She was a great manager of men and women. She brought her experience from multinational corporations to bear on how human resources should be managed for maximum output. Some of our placements in the organizational cadre can be credited to her!

How can I forget that conversation that got me pretty faster on my feet! She said, “that you are married should not be an excuse for declining opportunity to travel for assignments. It will limit you.”

That message made more of an impact in me than she could have imagined!

HO was a master of teamwork with her mantra, “steal shamelessly and share generously.” She did not accept hoarding information that could benefit the business.

Another mantra was “what is the learning?” She believed every experience either with clients or among colleagues was a lesson for another day.

Whenever I had the opportunity of spending time with her, HO was ever on calls to check on people – her friends, former colleagues, church members, family. And Post-C&F connection is a story that could make a book and that is no joke!

Let’s raise the glass to an amazon whose tremendous impact in my career and business cannot be photoshopped. It was to her credit that STEPCRAFT Nigeria Limited where I work as the COO could boast of rich portfolio and multinational clientele.

Indeed, she was quite instrumental to the PR firm’s achievements at inception and we hope for more!
